JON'S BUSHCRAFT
Welcome! I am a Bushcraft enthusiast based in Warwickshire, England. This website is a representation of some of the Bushcraft projects I have undertaken. Below are some of my latest projects but please see the articles page where you can view over 20 Bushcraft tutorials. I have written these tutorials mainly as inspirational guides; if they spark an interest for Bushcraft and nature in just a hand full of people then my effort writing them has been worth while. Have fun and take care! May natures spirit and wisdom be with you... Jonathan Ridgeon.

Stoneage Bushcraft Courses

My courses are between 1-3 days long. A range of Wilderness self reliance, bushcraft, survival, outdoor subjects and skills will be taught in-depth.
I will take nature and show you that it can be the greatest place to be, all you need is that little bit of knowledge and courage.
I tailor course's to suit your needs and criteria which will cover safety, equipment, Fire, Shelter, Water and food, survival scenarios can also be tailored to suit.

Spend one or more nights in the woods and experience what most people miss out on; from the stars at night to the morning chorus of the birds. Cook your wild food on the open fire and experience the life of a woodsman and the bushcrafter in a safe environment with an experienced instructor. How about spending some time around a campfire with like minded people? Fancy yourself in the woods doing all this? Its simple let me know what you want to learn, whether your a beginner or someone that just wants to learn more and we can either tailor a course or you can put your name and deposit down for a pre-planned course.

Some of the feedback I have received from my courses;

"One of the best team building exercise's we have ever had here, everyone got stuck in and was very infused with the ideas of outdoor living skills that were taught. Mike is a sure fire hit with the team and his skills are fantastic!!"

Accounts Manager HSBC

"Very satisfied with what we have learnt here at the outdoor centre, all the children were happy and safe. The way in which their imaginations were captured and used to get the skills across was fantastic, almost outstanding many teachers actually learnt a few teaching skills here too. Mike you were wonderful and are very welcome to the next event."

Sue Valeant  Events manager

"Not knowing what we let ourselves in for after watching "Survival" on TV, we were met with gracious
smiles all round. The camp set-up was brilliant for the amount of people we had brought along, having
a large army type parachute with a lovely winter warming fire in the middle. We all had fun eating wild
plants found in the forest and the few grubs we were shown. A full sleeping set-up was provided for us
Tarpaulin and hammock, wow what a great nights sleep.
Even came with some expert advice for sleeping in one for the first time!! What a great experience.
Thank you to the Stoneage Bushcraft Team!!"

Jack Persson  Area Manager Debs

"Possibly the best outdoor activity me and my family have taken part in! We have learnt so much
in the way of just being comfortable with sleeping out in the woods. We payed for the 3 day Bushcraft
and living skills course held in Sussex which was a very pleasent place to stay and a perfect venue for this
type of course. Learning the sounds of a few nights in the woods was a firm favourite."
